We founded Care+ Pediatrics Urgent Care, your premier pediatric urgent care clinic located in the heart of Oklahoma City, in 2022. Care+ is one of only a few independent pediatric urgent care clinics in the area, giving us more flexibility in approach to and pricing of your care.

Every aspect of our office – from our décor to our staff – is curated to make a trip to the doctor’s a pleasant experience. Our pediatric providers take the time and care to make sure your child isn’t scared about receiving their treatment.

Your child is seen by a physician or nurse practitioner with deep pediatric experience. Our clinicians bring backgrounds in pediatric emergency medicine, hospital pediatrics, and neonatal intensive care.
Justin Pespisa, MD 
Dr. Justin Pespisa grew up in the suburbs of Boston and attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He then moved to Nashville, where he completed his pediatrics residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Following residency, he worked as an attending physician at the pediatric emergency department in the Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. There, he realized the need for high-quality pediatric urgent care centers. In 2022, he moved to Oklahoma City to open Care+ Pediatrics Urgent Care.

Ami Whitley, PNP
Ami is a pediatric nurse practitioner from Oklahoma City and a graduate of the University of South Alabama. She cared for children at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital for nearly 10 years, in the emergency department and on the medical and surgical floors. Ami advocates for the health of Oklahoma’s children.
Nidhi Desai, FNP
Nidhi is from Edmond. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Exercise Science and Nursing from the University of Oklahoma and her Master of Nursing in 2022. She spent six years as a neonatal ICU nurse at hospitals including Integris Baptist Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, caring for premature and critically ill newborns and infants.
Devin, PNP
Devin is a pediatric nurse practitioner from Norman, Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing before earning her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. Prior to coming to Care+ she spent more than 13 years working in the OU Children’s Emergency Department, where she developed a deep passion for caring for pediatric patients.
Melyssa, DNP, PNP
Melyssa is a pediatric nurse practitioner originally from Newport, Washington. She graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from The University of Arizona in 2022. Prior to moving to Oklahoma, she worked for 2.5 years as a nurse practitioner in a pediatric primary care office in Arizona. She also has experience as a registered nurse in a pediatric emergency department and on a pediatric inpatient medical-surgical floor, with cross training to the pediatric ICU.
Ashlyn Ahrens, PA
Ashlyn Ahrens is a physician assistant from Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduating from the OU-TU School of Community Medicine in 2018. Prior to becoming a provider at Care+, Ashlyn provided primary care for pediatric patients at Ascension St John Pediatrics for four years, followed by two years of emergency care at St Francis in the Pediatric Emergency Center. As a parent of a child with special needs, she is a strong advocate for children and their families.
