What is Telehealth?

Telehealth has been rising in popularity over the past several years – and for good reason. Pediatric telehealth services allow you to visit with a pediatric provider over a video or phone call.  These over-the-phone visits give you the opportunity to receive comprehensive medical care for your child from the convenience of your home, or wherever you have internet or cellular service. Each telehealth session uses HIPAA-compliant technology to ensure your child’s sensitive information is kept secure. When Should I Use Telehealth Services?

Telehealth visits can be a great option for common illnesses (colds/flu) and follow-up visits with our doctors. A telehealth virtual appointment can also help parents identify whether an in-person visit is necessary.

When an In-Person Urgent Care Visit Might Be Better

A trip to the doctor’s office or urgent care clinic are sometimes necessary. For example, at Care+ Pediatrics Urgent Care, we often recommend our patients visit us in person for the following concerns:
